The gardens have a total area of 21,800 square meter, and is divided into a western garden and a Japanese garden. The gardens are opened to public (required a fee). Taishou Roman Kissashitsu 大正浪漫喫茶室 is located inside an old western building inside the non-paid area. Due to operational constraints, the outdoor photos and indoor photos were taken on 2 different days. It was snowing heavily on the indoor day. The nearest train stations are Hirosaki Station 弘前駅 of JR Ouu Main Line 奥羽本線 / Gonou Line 五能線, Kounan Tetsudou 弘南鉄道 Kounan Line 弘南線; and Chuuou Hirosaki Station 中央弘前駅 of Kounan Tetsudou 弘南鉄道 Oowani Line 大鰐線.
