Hitachi Seaside Park (Red leaves) ひたち海浜公園 (紅葉)
Hitachi Seaside Park ひたち海浜公園 is a park 10% larger than the Central Park in New York, and is 270 times the area of Tokyo Dome.
The park is famous for its flowers and red leaves.
In the red leaves season, it is famous for its Kochia コキア(箒草) and Cosmos コスモス(秋桜) on its Miharashi Hill みはらしの丘.
I have visited the park on 13 Oct (sunny, red leaves at 80%) and 16 Oct (cloudy with occasional rains, red leaves at 100%).
The nearest train station is Katsuta station 勝田駅 of JR Jouban Line JR常磐線, JR Mito Line JR水戸線, and Hitachi-naka Seaside Railway ひたちなか海浜鉄道 Minato Line 湊線.
