Zama-shi Yotsuya Sunflower Field
Zama-shi Yotsuya Sunflower field is located in Zama-shi, Kanagawa Prefecture,
and is around 90 minutes' train ride (change once) from Tokyo using JR. It is
famous for Sunflower seeing in August. The Sunflowers here are around 6 feet tall.
Before arriving at Japan, I planned to go to Hokkaido's Hokuryu, the biggest
Sunflower field in Japan. However, due to heavy rain caused by typhoon, I was
not able to go there. Zama-shi is my plan B.
Fortunately, it was announced on the day I arrived Japan that Zama-shi's Yotsuya
Sunflower field just reach full bloom. The only drawback is that I received the
message too late and could only arrived at the field by late afternoon, so the
direction of sunlight is not too perfect for photographing.
I also went back there 3 days later, but the Sunflowers are dropping their
heads already.
